Sławomir Luściński, Ph.D., MSE, Assistant Professor at Department of Production Engineering, Faculty of Management and Computer Modelling, Kielce University of Technology (KUT), Poland. Since the year 2017, he is also an Assistant Professor at Institute of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin.

Sławomir Luściński earned his degree of Master of Science in Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Electrical Metrology at Kielce University of Technology (1986) and the Postgraduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (1995). After a period of employment in the industry in the years 1986-1995, as an information systems manager and a software developer, he joined the KUT as an academic teacher and researcher in 1995. In the years 2004-2008 he was vice-chancellor of the Kielce University of Technology responsible for economics and computerization of administration. He received his Ph.D. degree in Economics in Management Science from University of Warsaw (2011) on the basis of the doctoral thesis on the influence of information systems on organisation development.

His current research interests include various aspects of production engineering, in particular: information systems (business informatics, business information management), computer modelling and simulation in production and logistics, data engineering, physical computing. The originator and creator of the project of the Laboratory of Modeling Intelligent Manufacturing Systems in the newly-built Science and Implementation Center of Intelligent Specialization in the Świętokrzyskie Region, the launch of which is scheduled for the year 2020. 

Sławomir Luściński is a member of Polish Society for Production Management, Polish Information Processing Society, Polish Society for Innovations Management.

To date, activities for professional growth undertaken abroad include teaching mobility assignment at  Instituto Politécnico de Beja (Portugal); at  Glasgow, University of the West of Scotland (United Kingdom); at Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of the Technical University of Košice with a Seat in Presov (Slovak Republic); at Morray College, University of Highlands, Elgin (United Kingdom). He also organized and conducted in the year 2013 (2 full weeks) his academic teacher training on the Modular Assembly System modelling and simulation in production engineering educationin the laboratoryat University of Nottingham (United Kingdom), School of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering.
